"The Open Hour"

This video dance, conceived from a long-standing concern of dancer Renata Gathaa, in collaboration with her friend and conductor Letieres Leite, who is responsible for the project's soundtrack, carries biographical narratives from expanded and plural perspectives. The performance's guiding symbols represent the different phases of life, in reverse chronology: from death to birth. It aims to combine dance and audiovisual resources through images captured in various locations in the capital of Bahia that relate to the artist's trajectory, such as the dunes of Lagoa do Abaeté, the UFBA Dance School, and the Castro Alves Theatre.

The project has financial support from the State of Bahia through the Secretary of Culture and the Cultural Foundation of the State of Bahia (Aldir Blanc Bahia Program) via the Aldir Blanc Law, directed by the Special Secretariat of Culture of the Ministry of Tourism, Federal Government.
