The film "Bandeiras," by Renato Batata, is a feature-length documentary released in 2018. The film discusses the policies of occupation of Brazilian territory, historically based on the expulsion of indigenous peoples from their lands, through a narrative. With scenes filmed between São Paulo and Guarani-Kaiowá villages in Mato Grosso do Sul, the documentary recovers and questions memories of the armed expeditions of the 16th and 17th centuries, which departed from the village of São Paulo for the interior of Brazil and were later called "bandeiras" (flags).
Research (pre-production) and Assistant Director (production) for the feature-length documentary (95 min) filmed in São Paulo and Mato Grosso do Sul, Brazil, and border towns in Paraguay, between June and December 2016, about the reality of the Guarani Kaiowá indigenous people in the Brazilian Midwest. Directed by Renato Batata, the documentary, which premiered at the São Paulo International Film Festival (2019), circulated through festivals and was broadcast in October 2020 on TV Cultura.
